Negative experience: Golf course is dangerous and so bad. Balls coming over constantly and pin positions are crazy on the edges of greens that are on slopes

Negative experience: Place is good, lots of tennis courts available. Good for casual gaming with friends. However, my wife and I tried to attend their Adult tennis program today with social match. It did not turn out as what we expected. Coaches dont have like a plan onto what they are going to teach us. One of them just keeps on using his mobile phone. All of us who attended the training felt like they just rushed everything. When the session was finished, they just left us to do the social match by ourselves without any supervision or guidance. They both just left us and went home. Not worth the cost. I think it would’ve been better if we just rented one court and played by ourselves than played the social match without any coach/staff present. Much cheaper as well. Wont recommend the program. But will definitely recommend the place.

Positive experience: Booked school holiday club for the kids. No signs to direct you on arrival and kids were not impressed with golf or multisports. Very expensive for what they got.
Fantastic experience: KDV Sport amazing! The team is professional, friendly, and passionate about what they do. from the golf and mini golf to the tennis and padel courts, everything is kept in amazing condition. The gym and pool are fantastic, and I love that you can enjoy a workout and then relax with great food at the restaurant. It’s the perfect place for families, athletes, or just anyone wanting to stay active and have fun. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I love KDV Sport! It offers plenty of entertainment as well as professional sports development if that’s what you’re looking for. The gym is amazing, the tennis courts are excellent, and the padel and pickleball courts add extra fun. There’s also a fantastic kids’ department where parents can leave their children without worries. From birthday parties to after-school care and holiday camps, there are great programs for kids to enjoy. Totally recommended!
Positive experience: My first time using the gym. Initially seemed like it would be decent but then realised the equipment is well below what a gym should have. No set weight barbells, no biceps machine, no triceps machine, I don’t think there’s a smith machine either. I hope they take on board my comments: I note someone else commented on the equipment. Otherwise I found it quite good - especially liked there weren’t any personal trainers occupying the spaces
Positive experience: KDV Sport should focus more on earning more money from car park (e.g. for AFL matches - $50 per car!) and creating absolute chaos and insecurity, renting out tennis courts for big tennis tournaments and putting the kids to clay courts with resulting cancellation of coaching due to muddy courts after rain. The ongoing departure of long term coaches and organizers is also concerning. Not sure whether I will continue sending my little one there.

Negative experience: Gym review: Staff always nice, nothing against them. Gym is VERY average. Old equipment, never updated. EVER. New equipment is needed (not just one unique piece which is also clearly used from another gym). There's enough space for additional equipment. Generally there is enough equipment for a workout, but good luck when it's busy..! Equipment is in need of regular maintenance (tightening) and cleaning, but does not happen. Ripped vinyl is about the only thing that gets repaired quickly. Treadmills and rowers are old. Straps on the rowers need replacing. Exercise balls/ Swissballs usually under inflated. I've found bolts on the floor before, or loose bolts on equipment and reported to the staff. NOTHING happens. Gym is dirty. Floor ok but nothing (equipment) is wiped down and marks on windows/ dirty windows are always. Marks even on the ceiling mirrors. I put some sweat marks on the windows myself to check and still see them 2 weeks later.. Not sure what the cleaners are doing?? Bathrooms regularly stink, as do inside lockers and soap runs out in the shows often. Hot water system inadequate in winter when obviously more people use it. Shower tap handles need repair. Old bottles, or items left in change room typically stay there and rarely removed. I've thrown out stuff myself. A lost and found bin is now provided at the front entrance to the gym. It is over flowing. It's gross. If you haven't claimed it in 1-2 weeks, throw it out. Sauna (is popular) but needs new ceiling vent (damaged) and floor is often dirty. Pool is good and seems well maintained though. Seems money is spent on the food and beverage section and golf/ tennis facilities. Gym is very neglected. Why have a gym then? Why should I pay a membership? There are far better gyms for the same money. I only go for the convenience of proximity to where I live, but it's a bit annoying when what I pay for is sub par.. Serious gym goers or people in competitions don't come here. They are obviously at a better gym.. I see plenty of 1 and 2 star reviews with KDV in general and a response saying they will look into the issue or rectify it. Clearly this does not happen. It's just lip service.. I've going for years to KDV but am getting to the end of my want to attend due to the lack luster facility. I only use the gym so this review is mainly about it. I see new people come along but don't see these faces repeat and come back. This gym needs a proper manager. One who wants to improve the gym and is allowed to do it and with funds. KDV should go and look at a professional gym. How it is run, the attentiveness of staff and maintenance; and the availability, quantity and newness of equipment. The difference is stark. They (KDV) will understand maybe then, why their gym is poorly patroned. Bye
Negative experience: Just reposting. Saw the owner contacted me so tried again today (Aug 25). Spoke to Robert, all tennis courts were booked so asked about paddle. Told to do it online, so went through the process which requires registering and logging on to some other website. After 20mins I gave up and again the courts are $80 p/p. Crazy money. Went to ACE Tennis Academy. Courts available, cheap and people were friendly. This is were I'll go from now on. Such a shame This place looks amazing until you peel it back. I have been here a few times. The gym and driving range are ok, but I have tried to play tennis several times and courts are always busy as is pickle ball. Paddle look really fun but is ridiculously expensive. And the staff are shocking. This could have been a great way to keep fit and have fun, but unfortunately, it feels disconnected, unorganised, and pricey.

Negative experience: This place is really run by amateurs. Half the time I go there the ball machine is out of balls. This happened again today, and after waiting half hour for balls I gave up and left. If the staff paid attention, they would know that if the range is littered with balls, then the ball machine must be about to run out. It's really not that hard to run a driving range people! Still badly run. Checked website no mention of being closed 14/5/2022. Drove 25mins in the rain to find this all weather range is closed, bloody annoyed. Update, 13/5/2025. Nothing's changed, checked website and facebook no mention of being closed. Drive 25 mins and find out the driving range is closed. Come on , it;'s not that hard to update your web pages and save people the trouble of travelling to be turned away.

Negative experience: I can't understand how kids are allowed to play and jump on a pool that should be used for swimming.
Negative experience: I live around 45 minutes away so I called ahead to make sure they had available slots and balls. They said that they did and just that they close at 5:30. My group and I arrived at 4:00PM only to find out the driving range had closed due to a malfunction with the buggy to collect balls... They could've just let us know there were limited balls and we would've come earlier. Not coming back.

Fantastic experience: One of the few outdoor driving ranges open after the cyclone so you could imagine how busy it was. Other than that they had very good facilities as well a decent price for the balls.
Negative experience: Driving range mats desperately need to be replaced. They've only been swapped over once in the years I've been going there and they're twice as bad now as they were last time they were swapped over. You'll save more money by swapping them out earlier and selling them off when there is still some usability in them like the last time. Two other things that are needed: 1) Some fans.. The driving range gets virtually zero breeze with the GC's predominant N/E wind direction. 2) Get rid of all of those custom branded 'eggs' that you bought as range balls a while back. They're too light to get any feedback and change directions mid flight.

Negative experience: I booked an academy camp in November and traveled all the way from New Zealand in January, only to be told upon arrival that it had been canceled. There was no prior communication from the academy regarding this cancellation. The reception staff seemed completely unaware of the camp or the tennis academy in general. When I sought clarification, I was promised a call from the academy manager, but I am still waiting to hear back. This experience highlights extremely poor organization, communication, and management. Traveling internationally requires significant planning and expenses, and this lack of professionalism is unacceptable. I cannot recommend this academy to anyone.

Negative experience: This place needs to be shut down immediately. Complete disregard for human health and safety. I was 30cm away from being killed here. It’s an old shabby run down place with hundreds of holes all through the net that’s supposed to protect golfers from the driving range. The net is far too low and driving range balls constantly fly over the top landing right next to golfers heads. They could care less if people belt drivers off Tees from the top section. Unless there is a sign warning of Lifetime Bans for people who do that, then they simply care more for profits than people’s lives. I will be getting work health and safety to hopefully shut this place down for months while they force them to do every single necessary repair.

Positive experience: Love the gym, some equipment needs updating, it would be very helpful if the gym were open earlier. 5:30 cuts it a bit close to working hours, especially when opening hours used to start at 5am, might switch to a 24 hr gym instead to be honest.

Negative experience: We went to play Footgolf and the lady at the counter told us that was a separate course and there was a course for adults and one for kids. And there is no kids course or area. We payed almost 70 bucks to play with the kids and when we were in we had golfers yelling at us and the kids because we were playing there, so for you to know , the footgolf is basically the same course as the normal golf course, a hole for the golf balls a few meters aside there is a bigger hole for the football. 6 holes had brown water inside, discusting and a safety hazard with stop water inside, other 2 holes had beer cans and beer bottles, inside of the footgolf holes, 3 holes were side by side with a huge lake with no protection at all, kids, balls , everything can go inside of of that lake. We Just skipped 2 or 3 holes and went home and just lost almost 70 bucks to be yelled At , and to be in constant stress. And the fun in this is that if the person at The counter could have told us that I going with kids to get risk of getting a golf ball in the head , or playing with Kids in adult golf courts, or finding beer bottles or Lakes with 6 year and 9 years old running around , off course I wouldn’t go. This place is a safety hazard and for kids and shouldn’t be allowed to operate footgolf for kids.

Fantastic experience: I love the place, the staff are great . The coffee is excellent, and so is the food. You have so much you can do with the family, and I found the prices are very reasonable.
Positive experience: Kitchen Reno has taken months and no signs of completing. Bucket of balls has sky rocketed and starting to get to expensive.

Negative experience: We have been denied night golf the last 3 nights we have visited kdv. The most recent excuse was there is too many divots made at night so we're closing at 5pm. It's a complete joke of a venue and they'll never get my money again.
Negative experience: The golf course is overpriced and really gone down hill. This used to be a great little short course with some long holes at the back. These are now closed and it’s 9 holes. 2 of the holes don’t even have putting greens. Constant driving range balls coming over on the one long hole. Won’t come back very disappointing and overpriced .
Fantastic experience: A good sport complex offers golf pro shop, driving range, a small par three course, tennis stuffs and a nice restaurant.
Negative experience: Booked online for a pickle ball game with my family. (4) Booked, paid for an hour, trad all the literature amd searched then researched had. Yep had it all sorted or so i thought. headed down for our game everyone couldn't wait to try out this pickle ball thing.. approach the front desk found our booking. only to be charged for the bloody paddles. Another $24 dollars. WHERE DOES IT ADVERTISE I HAVE TO PAY MORE. I Booked and paid on-line... no mention of further fees until we're standing there waiting. Then the young fella on the front counter told me I had to have them handed back in before 10.. I PAID FOR A FK.N HOUR not 45 mins you pest. Put a list that is visible of all costs Not some pf them. I am in NO hurry to go back anytime soon

Fantastic experience: We hired one of the rooms at KDV Sports for an event we were hosting and it was really awesome! The room was spacious and clean, the burgers that were provided were delicious as well! Rodrigo was active in helping whenever we asked for assistance for something he would never hesitate. He was very attentive and friendly. He definitely made the whole experience very pleasant and we can’t wait to hire this space again!

Negative experience: Driving range review, clubs are terrible, most of the drivers look like they've been run over by a bus, mats are ancient, need to reinvest some money in new mats and clubs.

Negative experience: My kids have been attending the holiday camps at KDV for a few years. It has always been a great place with awesome coaches and even though it has steadily increased in price the kids have a good time. When I went to drop them off this morning I was notified by a PDF sign at the sign in desk food was no longer included in the fee citing too many allergies. Now the price has increase to $70 from $65 at Christmas and no longer includes food. I was told that that they had sent multiple emails however we did not receive the email otherwise my children would've A)not attended or B) brought lunch. There were several other parents in the long sign in line that confirmed they also did not receive the email. Its understandable that everything is increasing these days but it is not justified the cost have increased and it no longer has the inclusions it previously did. Furthermore, upon receiving your online booking confirmation the fact food is no longer included should be mentioned.

Negative experience: The pitch and put golf course has gone downhill massively in the last 12 months. The public holiday surcharge stung - over $30 to have a hit on the worst maintained greens I have ever seen. It’s a shame that the owners have neglected the course. Once upon a time there were 18 playable holes and it was really fun but now there is barely 9 playable holes. Save your money and don’t bother hitting here. Spend a little more to play on one of the many other surrounding courses. When I mentioned what a let down the course has become the staff member just smirked and agreed with me.
Negative experience: Went to use the range for the first time today very disappointing the worst range balls i have ever used in my life and I've been to alot of ranges over the years don't waste your time and money there are other ranges nearby with decent balls .
Negative experience: Driving range is ok just make sure you don't want to buy a drink or a few more balls in the last 20min before closing as they will refuse to process any transactions.
Positive experience: Driving range: 4pm on a Wednesday Dirty/rubbish laying around, little smelly. The balls are extremely tired, new balls are desperately needed to match the level of the rest of the facility & the cost a bucket - $17 for a large bucket is more than most ranges on the coast.
Negative experience: There is a great place to do something activity. But online service for booking tennis courts doesn't work properly. Even though I called three times for booking tennis courts tonight but a girl was put hold on my calling straight away. What is it wrong? Did I do something wrong?? Because of I can't speak English properly? I have That's disrespectful. I wish that this company will improve their online service immediately. I was enjoyed to hit at KDV but this customer service didn't make me feel happy anything. I will cancel my membership, you will lose a customer by her telephone support.
Negative experience: Worst staff in the cafe area. They always forget about the order and just stand there and talk. Waited 40 mins twice for açai bowl
Negative experience: I live in Southport and have travelled down 3 times now to collect my racquet which I paid to be strung. Each time being told it will be 48 hours and kept being told next day, it’s still not ready! Service is a joke, communication is a joke. I’ll be travelling down a 4th time now still not knowing if it will be ready! Not acceptable at all.
Negative experience: Staff driving sign written vans constantly perform illegal “U” turns from bus lane out the front of the complex
Negative experience: Played half the holes and couldn’t see anything because the lights weren’t working. Talked to another player and he said it was under maintenance but he also wasn’t told. No compensation, just a “we didn’t know” which feels like we got cheated out of what we paid for.

Positive experience: Always have a good time when I go. Would love to see the upgrade of using the top golf software on the driving range bays. That way you can play rounds of golf or other fun games. Went to a driving range in Toowoomba which had the software and my group had sooo much fun. Plus the mini golf course is very fun and can be quite challenging, perfect for all ranges of experience.

Fantastic experience: We hired a room at KDV sports for a bucks party. We also ate lunch in the main dining area and played the par 3 golf course. The entire day was excellent and the staff could not be more friendly or helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and found it excellent value for money. Positive experience: Great spot for a little adventure with the kids or just to hang out with friends. The mini golf course is great, a little pricey in my opinion for what it is. The cafe is lovely, also a little pricey for drinks and some of the meals, but very tasty.

Negative experience: The management staff performed poorly when asked about the incident involving a group that hit more than 10 balls over to the adjacent soccer field. This matter is very serious as it could result in severe injuries to those affected. However, when questioned, the employee responded that they didn't know and were unsure about who was responsible for hitting those balls. They are completely inclined to disown their responsibilities, and this inadvertently might plant a seed of danger for the future if another similar incident were to occur in the vicinity. Can you be at ease taking the kids to a place where lurking danger is a constant concern?
Negative experience: Hi the KDV sport’s owners, you should train your staff how to control the booking and people who enter your premise. A group of stupid young boys hit golf balls to our small group who were playing the soccer on the field next door. They definitely aimed to us, cuz there were more then 10 times the ball flew in middle of us. Luckily, no one got hit, but they definitely violated the law on your premise. We’re anxious and afraid of getting hit, so we stopped playing. We went over your staff and asked about those kids but the staff said that didn’t know that group because they didn’t have any booking. It means you guys let the strange people coming into your premise and used your properties to hit balls to other people for fun? Furthermore, the staff’s attitude was rude. They didn’t think it would cause the serious injuries or even got killed if people got hit. They seemed that they don’t care because it’s not their responsibility to answer our concern. There was no apologies at all. What a bad management. We already reported to police and they might ask you for the footages.

Negative experience: 2 or 3 people hit at least 12 balls at us while we were playing soccer near there. Some of us almost got hit by those. It was murdering. The last report shows there are 40,000 people suffering head injuries caused by golf balls, remember that you can die from this injury. We requested the receptionist to retrieve who they are. They kept hiding their information and protecting those people without apologies. They told us that it wasn’t a booking so they don’t have their booking details. We had written a report to Crimes Stopper. If you don’t do anything, we will sue you for what happened last Friday. If you still rate them 5 stars and play here, you are supporting them. Really bad service.

Positive experience: This facility has changed a lot. There is no main dining area, only a takeaway area with minimal food. The bays were busy but no one was collecting the balls on the range. Feel a dress code and enclosed shoes should be worn to use the range and mini golf course. They have a very small par 3 course but it is really only a chip and putt. Has lost a lot of appeal since I last went.

Negative experience: front desk service is appalling, went in to play 9 hole golf took about 25 mins waiting there , both women behind the counter didn't speak very good English and they had no idea what they were doing , didn't explain where I needed to go even though I stated was first time I've done the 9 hole golf , didn't give me a score card or balls and had to wait whilst they proceeded to serve 4 or 5 other customers whilst leaving me there waiting , neither of them were welcoming or smiled , and then decided to tell me I needed to buy balls as well. Need to put competent staff behind the desk who have some idea of what customer service is and actually know about the facilities and services you offer and not just hire the cheapest staff that have no idea. Extremely put off by this. And don't feel like returning , we use the tennis quite a bit and have lessons there to so this is pretty disappointing. there was another customer who looked awkward seeing I still needed help and that there front desk person just ignored it , the same customer also had the same look in there eye losing their patience with them.

Fantastic experience: First time to visit on Sunday. Front staff were excellent, pricing was reasonable, and my wife and I had a ball (pun intended) playing padel tennis - also for the first time. Looking forward to using the driving range next visit.

Negative experience: Came here over 3-4 years and despite them adding so many facilities like tennis etc, driving range has deteriorated over time. Half of the Golf balls nowadays don’t even have any dimples, have cracks and a lot of broken balls . I understand it’s a driving range but have some standard? Price increase from $13 to $17 over time however facilities hasn’t improved. Seriously contemplating other ranges now.

However, we have secured the supplier and the new balls are due to arrive in next two weeks and we will not have the same issue again. Negative experience: I have been coming to KDV for the past 3 or so years to use the driving range and have been incredibly happy with past experiences. However, today there was a shortage of balls and I was told I could only have a small bucket (not an issue) but when I hear the lady next to me ask can I have another bucket of range balls I ask the male staff member if I could just have a large ($17) instead of a small then another small ($10+$10=$20) the attitude this fella had was disgusting and I was told no. This definitely does not reflect my passed positive experiences. I would ask that the manager/supervisors check in on the way in which some staff choose to speak to customers and this be rectified. Negative experience: I am a regular visitor to the driving range and I went there a couple days ago to take my partner to the driving range and the guy at the front desk was very rude as we asked if the driving range was open and he just said no and continued talking to one of his friends most staff are usually very friendly but not this one

Negative experience: On 2 separate occasions I attempted to use the driving range (once in the morning and the other at night - different days) and was told both times that they didn't have any balls left and there was no one around to drive the ball collector... At least update your opening hours to when the ball collector is in operation.
Hi Alexei, while disappointing to hear this, appreciate your honesty. Its been tough with all the rain to pick the balls up simply because the ball picker gets bogged on the range (weve even had staff picking balls up after we close to help out). I've passed on your feedback to management though.
Fantastic experience: We held our sons 18th in the restaurant area and hired 3 bays at the driving range. Lovely venue. Very stylish, all the staff were professional & friendly. Special shout out to Rodrigo our events manager. He was very helpful. Eager to please and a pleasure to deal with. All our family and friends were impressed at the venue, bays, food, and value. A few are even considering future events here.

Positive experience: My grandson and I visited your facility yesterday, where we had a round of mini golf very enjoyable. My grandson then purchased 150 balls for the practice range which was very busy, so we seated ourselves behind the booths and waited patiently for a booth to become vacant when one did after an hour we went up Only to be told by an Asian man that he was a member and should have first preference well that didn’t go down well, we played that booth. My point being there needs to be a much better system eg special booths for members only and a number system to ensure fairness for people waiting because yesterday was just a mess. I don’t mind waiting my turn but there is no system in place to ensure fairness. In busy periods maybe there also needs to be a limit on the number of balls available to each booth. Top Golf have an amazing system yes it’s more expensive but a much better customer experience.

Negative experience: We were at kids club and the food was horrible. Activities were very boring and the whole place was disorganised and all over the shop. For the hefty price to do kids club it is outrageous. I will certainly never come back. I wouldn’t be paid to do so. They are completely disorganised and over charging. We were promised to do sport, for at least 1 /2 the time we’ve been stuck in front of the tv with a quarter of an apple as morning tea. Whilst the staff have fresh food, hot beverages and sit and laugh. This place is horrible
Positive experience: Quality on the slide here Not my first visit here but by far the worst. 1 person on the counter and they were engaged fie 5 mins with one customer before I could purchase a simple bucket of balls. Wpuld have got a rum and coke but they don't stock it, hapoy to stock other heavy spirit UDLs though. The balls were nothing short of rubbish with the exception of probably 30% of them. I was hitting off level 2 and There was a guy using a leaf Blower on the lower level blowing huge amounts of dust in rhe air and up to level 2. Literally everyone hitting stopped and was wondering what was going on. Just an average experience there this time. Don't expect much to change a sits been slowly deteriorating each visit. Better options available on the coast.
