Welcome to the YMCA Canberra Paddle Hub, a vibrant destination for paddle sports located by the picturesque Lake Burley Griffin. As part of the YMCA movement, our Paddle Hub operates from October to April, providing an engaging space for individuals and communities to connect through kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding.
Not only do we offer exceptional recreational opportunities, but we are also committed to making a positive impact in our community. This past year, we partnered with the CREATE Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting children and young people in out-of-home care. Together, we have organized special paddle sessions for youths who otherwise might not have access to these enriching experiences. Through our collaborative events, participants not only learn essential paddling skills and water safety but also have the chance to meet others and forge lasting friendships.

7 months ago Positive experience: Attended a social kayak and SUP paddle as part of a conference. While the weather is unpredictable I would have expected novice SUP paddlers that the conditions weren't suitable for beginners (20km/hr winds).Also the "instruction" how to was inadequate. The boards and paddles are old and not readily adjustable...a must of you need to shorten the paddle for kneeling when heading into the wind...adequate if you're experienced and are happy with average equipment
1 year ago Negative experience: This place is closed on a weekend and they do not hire kayaks for less than 10 people. Very disappointing service!
